Review-
Author and Life Coach, Connie Sokol, wrote 40 Days With The Savior as a daily devotional to help us start each day right. As an inspirational writer and speaker, she understands that people frequently have bad days or quickly become frustrated by their everyday lives and burdens. Sokol uses each devotional to gently teach the reader how to turn negative feelings and emotions into positive ones. Every page/devotional has a simple heading that explains her topic for that day. For instance, ʺHe is Confidentʺ, ʺHe Fulfilled his Purposeʺ, ʺHe is a Friendʺ. After the title, Sokol attaches a scripture that gives an example of how Jesus was confident, or how he fulfilled his purpose, or was a friend. She then talks about how this example/lesson can be applied to a person's day-to-day life using instances in her own life with her own family and friends. At the end of the lesson, there is a sentence that simply suggests stopping and considering what change that can be made for the day in order to achieve the daily goal. The wonderful thing about this devotional is that it applies to everyone, young and old, male and female. Read one page and you will be nodding your head in agreement and saying ʺYes! I felt the same way yesterday.ʺ Therefore, if you want to gain a more positive and healthy outlook and live a less stressful life, you need to pick this book up.
