Does THE AGE OF REASON COUNT? It was more of a pamphlet, but it helped excite so much thought! Otherwise as a Mark Twain Fan Tom Sawyer. Congrats on your 200.000BRAVO!
The Color Purple. I know that because we were forced to read it, then told we didn't have to because it was challenged at our school. But yeah, we had all already read it anyway.
There are so many books on the banned or challenged list that I have read and thoroughly enjoyed. It would take too long to name them all. Beloved, Brave New World, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Catcher in the Rye, The Color Purple, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, The Bluest Eye, Of Mice and Men, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Outsiders, Native Son, Lord of the Flies, Pillars of the Earth, Lord of the Rings, Go Tell it on the Mountain..and the list goes on. I have read at least 40 of the books on the classics banned list.
